I Must Be Crazy!

But in a good way…I’ve got lots of sewing planned for the next few months, but I signed up for the block of the month with Gina and Kathleen anyway. A class with these two amazing ladies was just too much temptation!
We are making the Imari Plate quilt from Kaffe’s Quilts in Sweden book.

This is Kathleen’s quilt! Gorgeous!! Lots of Tula:)

This beauty is Gina’s! Her colors are wonderful!!

The best part about the class is that the guru and I are doing it together. It will be fun to make these along side one another.
Today was the second class. Everyone had finished their initial plate. And they’re gorgeous!!

The guru’s is the top left and mine is next to it. She’s doing all Denyse Schmidt; I’ve loaned her lots of my stash. And I’m doing neutral backgrounds with pops of color.

They’re both so different but I think they’ll turn out beautiful!! I’m off to finish the first border:)

  1. Love the pattern. Wish I was closer and could take the class too! Looks like lots of fun. Keep up the great work and love seeing photos along the way.;)

  2. this looks so tempting but I have sworn off of starting any new quilts until I get a bit more caught up. I will live vicariously through your talents

  3. Hi there. My daughter really wants me to make this quilt for her, but it’s too big for a singe bed. How can I make it smaller?? Many thanks
