It’s simple, just leave a comment telling me who your favorite fabric designer is and why. I’ll go first…”I’m not sure I could pick just one. I’m definitely a Tula freak, but I have tons of love for Denyse Schmidt, Laurie Wisbrun and Joel Dewberry! (And lots of others…) I love designs that have a secondary level and Tula is great at that! It looks like a vine, but it’s also a squirrel. Love that!”
I’m going to let Mack the Chihuahua draw the winner! (although he tends to use the random number generator) International folks are welcome!
Good luck! Let me know if you have questions!!

  1. I have just started quilting again after a 20 year absence. I have an unhealthy obsession with Tula Pink and anything with squirrels on it . I have bought enough over the last 2 months to keep me busy for the next 20 years and most of it is Tula Pink, my favourite designer!

  2. Okay, the more Tula Pink I look at, the more she’s my fave!!! Also Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, Riley Blake, Heather Ross…….the list goes on!

  3. Joel Dewberry and Kaffe Fasset come to mind. I tend to select by a collection I like rather than everything a designer does.

  4. I don’t know much (or even anything) about fabric designers as I’m relatively new to sewing. Although I’m learning a lot through the SMS-giveaway Day ;-)

  5. I adore Tula Pink’s quilt designs and read her books just for the sake of reading the books, but when it comes to fabric, am I allowed to admit that I can’t and don’t want to commit? I prefer random fabric mixing to going with one designer’s line. Obviously projects made with a single fabric line are cohesive and well put together, but I sometimes find them same-samey, even when the quilt or project design is completely different.

  6. I love Anna Maria Horner, especially because of the different fabric substrates her beautiful prints are available on!

  7. I don’t really have a favourite designer but I’m enjoying looking at lotta jansdotter at the moment.

  8. I’m not sure I could pick a favourite designer but I have a serious thing for Liberty Tana Lawn!
