Liberty Love Mini Quilt

Do y’all have the book Liberty Love? If you don’t, you need it! I asked my quilty friend Gina to get it for me when she went to Quilt Con!

Gina got it signed for me:)

It’s full of tons of great projects!! I made these pinnies with Briar Rose from my friend Amanda. I can’t wait for Briar Rose to arrive at The Little General!!

But my favorite quilt in the book is this spool quilt! I just love it!! The full quilt is definitely on my someday list.

For now, I made a mini! She has directions for a mini in the book. I modified them a bit adding a white border before my print border. I used the blue and white prints from the Liberty Stile collection.

Check out the quilting!! My friend Colleen did it!! (I met her at the retreat in Nebraska.) She is AMAZING!

Here is a picture of Colleen and me with the mini!! (Photobomb by Leslie Main.)

This cute mini is going to be a class at Sew Original! It is August 17, 12-4.
I’m also planning to teach the Mad Plaid Quilt at The Little General in the fall! Liberty Love is a must buy!!

I’m entering the Liberty Spool Mini in the Modern Mini Quilt Challenge by Ellison Lane!

  1. Cute, cute mini. I feel out of the loop when it comes to Liberty fabric – I don’t really know anything about it except that people l.o.v.e. it.

  2. Cute mini Lee! Thanks for entering the Modern Mini Challenge! That mad plaid quilt looks fun too!

  3. Looks great Lee!!!!! I’m glad you like the quilting, thanks! Photo makes me LOL with Leslie in the back! Fun time!
