Terrific Tip Tuesday: Pointing Pins

Today, I’m showing you how I use numbered pins to not only keep my rows in order, but also to show me which way to press. Do you have these pins? They’re great!!

I actually found out about them from my quilty friend Ginabean. They have them at Sew Original! I use them to keep both individual blocks and rows in order. When I put them in, I point the pin in the direction I need to press.

Then all my seams lock!

And no more guessing at the ironing board!

  1. where are these pins available? this is a great tip as I frequently get my rows mixed up and then the final project isn’t as I planned it or there is a great deal of unsewing

  2. Thanks for the tip. I realize I can number some of my yellow pins with a permanent marker and get the same effect.
