Blue Ridge Quilt Pattern

There is nothing more beautiful to me than the mountains of North Carolina! This quilt is an homage to that!

There are a lot of flying geese involved. I highly recommend the Bloc Loc ruler. It makes everything go faster and makes all the points perfect! There are directions for Table Runner through King included in the pattern. I’m dying for someone to make the King:)

This is the back of the quilt. I used some half square triangles from the front on the back. They would make a wonderful whole second quilt!

Here’s a close up of my quilting. I only quilted the backgrounds so the trees popped. A part of me still wants to go back and quilt the trees.

I used this pattern on my brother’s Christmas present.

You can find the PDF pattern here and the printed pattern here.

  1. May,
Thank you for sharing the pattern, your finished quilt is lovely.
I so agree with you about the beauty of the Blue Ridge. When we lived there and I’d drive over the first ridge and the mountains were right before you I’d say a little prayer that I would never take for granted the view or how awesome God was to make it so beautiful. floridamissy

  2. I must admit that North Carolina is one of the places that I miss now that I am not driving. Your quilt is just lovely, and that table runner is awesome! What I am really liking is that ledger fabric!! Hope all is well :)
