Terrific Tip Tuesday: Almost Sewing Over the Pin

Sewing over pins is not great for your machine. It can damage the pin and even worse damage the machine, throwing off the timing. It's best to get into a rhythm where you pull out the pin just before you're going to stitch over it.

I wait until the last minute so that my presser foot is holding everything in place and taking over the pin's job. This means that nothing can shift as you remove the pin.
